The Financial Ombudsman Service, or FOS for short, is an independent public body that resolve disputes between consumers and businesses. They can consider a complaint that has been rejected by a lender’s own internal processes, are impartial and have legal powers to put things right.

You may cancel your instruction within a cooling-off period of 14 calendar days of the date you return your signed letter of authority to us.

If you cancel within the cooling-off period, you will not have to pay us anything.

Discretionary commission arrangements (DCA) was the term given to a practice used by lenders and brokers where they changed the interest rates offered on vehicle finance to customers at their own discretion. As many customers were not told about the commission or offered other rates this practice was deemed unfiar by the FCA in January 2021 and banned.

The amount you could receive in compensation will depend on what the best rate interest rate available was at the time and the % you paid in interest, and also how much money you took out on finance and over what period.

The FCA are currently conducting a major investigation into unfair car finance, with the outcome expected to be announced on 25th September. While complaints can be logged immediately, a final repsonse won’t be delivered until 8 weeks after the FCA outcome has been announced.

In line with the FCA financial claims management cap, the amount you pay to us as a fee will be depednednt upon how much compensation you receive.
